Terms of service
The rules for using TikTalk. TikTalk is run by James Music LTD.
Your data
A copy. On the Account page, Download my data gives you a file with everything TikTalk holds about your account. Passwords and secret keys are left out. Card details are held by Stripe, our payment provider, never by TikTalk.
Deleting your account. On the Account page, Delete my account deletes your account and its data straight away. Your plan is cancelled at once, with no refund for the rest of the month. TikTok and Spotify are disconnected, and you are signed out on every device. Your public forum posts and comments stay, so other people's conversations still make sense, but they are shown as written by “Deleted member”. Your private forum posts are deleted. Stripe keeps its record of your payments, as the law requires.
If you ever had a plan, TikTalk keeps a scrambled form of your email address, not the address itself, for 2 years after you delete your account, only so that signing up again with it does not give you a second free trial or founding discount.
How long TikTalk keeps things. While your account is open:
- LIVE activity and chat history, and the actions your AI took: 30 days.
- Viewers' pictures: 30 days after the viewer was last seen.
- Viewers' languages and your bio link page's click counts: 90 days.
- Your AI's use and what it cost: 90 days.
- Figures fetched from TikTok for Analytics: 8 days.
- A sign-in on a device: 30 days. Sign-in and password reset links: until they expire.
- What a LIVE needs to carry on after TikTalk restarts: 1 hour. The hype train overlay's viewers: 30 minutes after it was last added to.
- Short spoken lines kept so they can be played again quickly, shared by every creator: 30 days.
Your settings, sound files, song requests, bio link page and forum posts are kept until you change or delete them, or delete your account.
Premium voices (ElevenLabs)
TikTalk's premium voices are made by ElevenLabs, a company we use to turn text into speech. Your AI's premium voice comes with the Standard with AI plan, and premium voices for chat and announcements with the AI with premium voices plan, once each is on sale. When a premium voice reads something, the text is sent to ElevenLabs to be spoken.
If you use TikTalk's premium voices:
- You must follow ElevenLabs' Terms of Service and ElevenLabs' Prohibited Use Policy. Any TikTalk rule on the voices is at least as strict as those. You must not use the voices for anything they forbid, such as pretending to be a real person, misleading people or harassing anyone.
- ElevenLabs is a third-party beneficiary of this section. That means ElevenLabs can enforce it against you directly, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
- You agree that ElevenLabs may process the text we send it to be spoken, and the audio it makes, to provide this service.
Only ElevenLabs' own ready-made voices are offered. TikTalk never copies or clones anyone's voice.
